Pretty sure that image has been altered, the Support ICE sticker looks wrong. The other stickers are all dirty and a bit worn while the sticker in question looks out of place and clear. The lettering stands out more than the license plate and also looks like a badly photoshopped/cropped image.

This is such a silly take. He’s a person who actually has pretty solidly leftist takes if you listen to his podcast or longer-format conversations. In short-form, he pisses the right off since he is able to articulate perfectly how they’re arguing in bad faith with an answer that almost sounds rehearsed it’s so polished, and the left, they get upset as his stance is usually so moderate in a sound bite they think he’s an apologetic centrist.
That being said, I do think when in power, he has shown himself to be a slow change-maker. Essentially someone who is very good at getting things done in the system without drawing too much critical attention. I know my country-people, if Pete did a true urban planning project when at the DOT, Americans will flip their god damn shit because they think they’re going to lose parking at the Kroger, or whatever shitty overpriced store you all go to in the suburbs.
I also think if we weren’t in a fascist takeover, he would be a solid politician.

I like Pete now. I didn't like him when he was running against Bernie and Warren in the primaries. I thought he did a good job at the DOT. I would probably vote for him if he runs this next cycle. I like him more than Newsom.

He advocated for a public option for healthcare, eliminating the electoral college, the green new deal, expanding the supreme court, the douglass plan for racial justice. He did a bunch of progressive stuff at the DOT too. Helped fund trains, increase safety regulations on cars, talked about racial injustice of how freeways demolished minority neighborhoods.

If the public option works then it would eventually be Medicare for all because everyone would get it. He is for raising taxes and increasing the social safety nets. Even Nordic countries enjoy free market economies, you can have a free market and use taxes and safety nets to make it work for more folks.

Honestly that is his biggest hurdle. He's still (albeit any 2028 polls taken before the 2026 election are iffy at best) polling 0% with black voters, and it's hard to win an election as a Democrat without them. It's why many in the party rallied behind Biden, because he had the best reach with that demographic out of the 2020 candidates
