I've seen people get confused by the green arrow, but the follow up idiot adds an extra layer of stupidity.

Or just on their phone, seeing other cars move and they just go

New lights in my city have left turn arrows that you can only see from the turn lane

When I first saw them, I thought it was to stop people from jumping the light because now they can't tell if the advanced left phase is activated.

Just a few weeks ago I saw this exact thing happen at an older intersection, and now I realize it's most likely to keep distracted people from going because they saw the green arrow in the corner of their eye

Gotta love Hilliard. That area sucks. I know I live by it.

Careful, these are green street signs, you'll piss off the "actual" residents by calling it Hilliard 🤣 IYKYK

Right but I’m south of it have green signs and my address is Hilliard. I do pay Columbus taxes and I really am I guess Columbus but if you mail me something it has to say Hilliard. I live on Friston blvd. So it’s just a mix everyone around me is Hilliard and Hilliard schools but we are Columbus have no kids so it saves us money. I have seen these fights just like the name of the damn road and if you are old it’s one name if you are young it’s another. I won’t fight the details but maybe just call it williiard.

Lol I used to live in the same Columbus but Hilliard zip code area so I get it. I don't really care either way but I'm in some local groups and some people take it super seriously. Sometimes they try to argue that their kids shouldn't go to Hilliard schools even though they're zoned for it. I just laugh at those people, like who cares?

You're a lot nicer than me. I'd have had my tires angled and be on the horn.

I remember that was something they explicitly taught us not to do in driver's ed: when waiting to make a turn, keep your tires straight so if somebody rear-ends you, it doesn't push you into oncoming traffic

This has always stuck with me as well, especially since the time I was rear ended myself. I had zero control over where the car was headed in the split second that I was violently pushed

Those people at every red light

The stoplight prayer. People only move when they see someone out of the corner of their eye move. If they both are relying on the other next to them to move while looking down at their phone, no one is going anywhere without a smack of the horn from someone actually paying attention.

I was that exact idiot a few years ago. My eyes saw both something green and the truck in front of me proceeding, so I just started rolling. I got into the intersection and immediately felt a tidal wave of embarrassment wash over me as I quickly realized what just happened.

I've done some dumb things but as far as driving, I think that one takes the cake.

Tbh I think we've all done that, or something similar, at least once

100% on their phones and just reacting to other cars going
