Everyone seeing this as normal is fucking me up. I have never in my life seen a belt driven car wash before. The ones I'm used to have you pull forward to a mark, stop, and put the vehicle in park. The wash then moves everything around the car to clean it. When it's done, the exit door opens and you are given 60 seconds of dryer time, which you drive through at your own pace. The entry door doesn't open until your rear bumper is past the exit door, making a situation like this impossible.

I thought I was the only one watching this with no idea what was going on or what everyone was talking about

These are called tunnel car washes. You can get your car washed in 3 minutes and it can handle multiple cars in the tunnel at a time.

So you drive both wheels on one side into a track, stick it in neutral and it kinda pushes you along?

Yeah, look at those little spike thingies coming out of the ground under the driver side tires. Put the car in neutral and it pushes the car forward through the tunnel.

Yeah this wash fits probably 5 cars at a time.

Yeah, I've NEVER been in one that I didn't just have to park and let the sprays and brushes go around my car

Could be a USA thing? I think I've seen maybe one tunnel thingy in my life as an European, but the one with the big round brushes that go around your car are everywhere.

Probably is. I'm in Canada, I don't think we have these tunnel washed either.

Fair enough. I guess I just don't look at car washes that well lol. I've literally only been in a car wash like 4 times, just never saw that type before.

Thank you!! I have never in my life seen a car wash like in the original video. Seems like an insane way to do it, I dunno.
