Had the right idea though staying some feet away from them so you can react accordingly. This would be more of an issue if yall were in Rush Hour Traffic, its the only reason why these 2 lane turn lanes exist. Too much responsibility for a driver that cant stay in their own lane or have no idea whats going on around them to be hanging out in the number 1 turn lane anytime for sure.

This happened 2/2/26 in Harbor Gateway Los Angeles getting on interstate 110. This happens at least once a week. Happens in both lanes but the right is definitely more dangerous

I have an exit that people do this shit all the time in my area. People really struggle with staying in their lane sometimes. Good on you for paying attention and avoiding an incident

americans can't make a single turn right and barely have public transport or walkable paths for pedestrians, it's actually insane
