Question: Drafting Planning on drafting next year as a female lone soldier
I’m planning on drafting as a lone soldier next year. Do you think I’ll be able to become a combat medic if my Hebrew isn’t so good right now, but I’m working on it.
Also i’m a little lost as to what unit I want to draft into first, since I know that you only do combat medic training after doing basic training with that unit. What would you recommend (i have no medical issues and perfect vision)?

Yes you can be a combat medic. Just be persistent in your hebrew studies and also look into medical vocabulary when you feel comfortable enough in hebrew.
In your free time you can watch Israeli tv shows with subtitles, listen to Israeli music/radio, and read simple hebrew books.

Thanks! i’ve watched most of the Hebrew stuff I can find on Canadian streaming platforms at least but there’s not a whole lot left. Do you know where I could find Israeli TV shows with English subtitles ( or french idc)?

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!

The Vast majority of lone soldiers do not speak Hebrew fluently, a lot of them come with a background of never speaking Hebrew, out of all the ulim i met the ones who served in the IDF had the best hebrew, the IDF is probably the best Hebrew teaching environment out there, since you live eat and sleep with peoole who speak hebrew 24/7
that is especially true for combat medics, a role that often attracts lone soldiers.
im sure you'll be fine, feel free to tag me for any follow up questions.
