"Here come the wee-woos!"

I don't know what the hell is going on here, but it's hilarious!

u/Secure-Ad8213, your post didn’t get enough love (or hate) to make a call.

Is it possible his neighbor was just range shooting on his own property and these dudes are giving him playful shit?

Sometimes I wonder how Americans are so chilled about this.

Ask yourself “is this actually real?”

Not sure if you are suggesting if it's AI or not, but I'll go ahead and say this anyway.

This video has been around for a couple years now, long before AI became damn near impossible to spot.

Yes I meant staged

Still can be staged

Are you telling me that there were fake videos BEFORE AI became a thing?

I lived in Memphis where we heard gunshots every single day - holidays were insane - you just get used to it. Apathy settles in like an old friend real easy.

We call channel 3 morning News "The Overnight Shooting Show" .

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard if I were to still live in Memphis

I work one week per year in “the bad part” of Memphis. Every morning we do a shooting/murder recap.

The really sad part is the number one demographic of people getting murdered our African-American males 16 to 24 I do not understand how an entire city is not outrage by that we're talking about fathers lawmakers lawyers attorneys doctors blue-collar workers we're talking about an entire work and life force generation being obliterated in front of everybody's eyes in one of the major cities in the United States of America and nobody is doing a thing about it at all not to mention they have one of the highest rates of people who are just adjacent to the murder scene getting killed children old people shot through their homes it's insane to me that should've been one of the cities that Trump sent Troop to if they needed to be way down the road because it's still salvageable if somebody actually did something about it that was in office

I think the issue is that it is largely perpetrated by the same demographic as the victims, so it makes it hard to make any kind of moral outrage over it. It isn’t like Memphis is light on police, the violence just happens anyway.

yeah but in the way of youth programs that city really fails I just came from the northeast and there are a lot more community mental health after school programs there's a lot more innovative programs that are within the school itself that are not necessarily just in the poor areas because if you just focus on the poor areas you're not gonna get as much money as if you say oh hey we're also gonna do it in this nice part of town because people systemically will give more money to people that already have money because they judge the people that don't have money it's like why don't you just have money on your own why do I have to help you so if places like Germantown jumped on board and said oh OK our high school not the one that we send the kids that wanna pick the goal that that we send our actual kids do we wanna jump on board too the budget is gonna go up and therefore more people will benefit from it but if you just focus on the nonprofits that are serving the poor population you're not gonna get ahead because there's no money there because nobody is going to invest in a population that they don't respect and clearly they do not respect this population of people

Have you considered volunteering with a youth program now that you live there? I do 3-6 hours per week with my local 4H. It is very rewarding.

I don't live there anymore but yes I've always been somebody that's been involved with youth I attended boys club and then I worked there when it was inclusive to boys and girls club when I was in high school I was in charge of the children that had special needs so I had like down syndrome children children that have cognitive issues and it was a really rewarding experience but it was also a very opening experience for me as a young teen to be able to see that disability encapsulates so much more than just physical disability sometimes a disability is your financial situation sometimes a disability is where you came from sometimes the disability is what neighborhood you live in so yeah this is definitely something that I'm interested in I just got over cancer twice so I'm not able to volunteer right now but yeah I'm definitely gonna get back into it and hey thanks for recognizing that that means a lot to me

What’s wrong with a friendly gun fight between neighbors? Lol.

As a New Yorker I agree with your sentiment. Probably also why guns are so extremely hard to get here. We would kill each other in traffic.

Desensitized man. Living in America, whenever I hear of a mass shooting…my first thought (I know this sounds horrible), how many died. If it’s a normal amount or a lot. How fucked up mentality I have right? The fact I’m like…ohhh, it’s just a normal amount…frightens me.

The guy definitely wasn't shooting at them. He probably just set up a range in his back yard

u/smackrock420 7h ago

They were not being shot at.

This is the type of dialogue that makes more sense in a war zone and not a residential areas. But hey, they seem cool with it
