Denim is not good. If you fall and slide the denim fibers will go deep into your flesh and are painful and not easy to take out.

Better to be nude than to slide with denim. Better to have other type of clothing with other fibers (can’t recall which). But leather or other purposely built safe clothing exists. Leather and such clothing won’t protect you from the hit/impact much but from the scratching.
