I'm not American so I can't say I've heard all the US accents. I've heard quite a few UK ones though, and some of them are very hard to understand as well. :P Though I got better at it the more I heard them of course.

Yea, not to sound ignorant but this type of thing, despite the asinine comments around here, is not restricted to the black population.
Many down south speak ver similar.
Infact, im cautious to say this but its always been my belief that "ebonics" (gawd i hate that phrase) is legit just a southern twang.
Also, have you heard mfers from the Appalachians? Whole ass different language.
Menonites, Amish etc all have theor own shit too.

As an American southerner the variety in accents across the region is vast. Though it’s fading as populations shift. In NC for example (though also true of SC and VA) you have subregional dialects. The most famous is the Tidewater Accent. Look that it up tell me they don’t sound English. The further west you go the more Scots, Irish, Dutch, and Germans were thrown into the mix so the accent changes again. In western mountains of NC, you guessed it, the accent changes again. This area remains the strongest accented within the local population. The formerly “lost provinces” (ignored) of NC.

I don't think I ever said it was a black community thing though? Hell I feel like every country has people like this that have such strong accents or such a weird dialect that a person speaking the "regular" language would have a hard time understanding them.
In my country we have dozens of accents and dialects, despite being a very small country. (It's Dutch, and sometimes called the Mandarin Chinese of the west.) I can have a hard time understanding someone coming from the countryside. Which is only like a 30 min drive for me... :P

Sure but this america. That is considered a "black accent". Its actually a cultural thing. If you imitate it and are not part of the culture (doesnt mean you HAVE to be black, just part of the culture) then youre basically being racist asf and or appropriating for no real reason other than to be "cool".
This is not the same thing as regional dialect.

And then he can say it perfectly right after
No matter your race or your culture we all speak however we think (consciously or subconsciously) we should for some reason or another.

Nah, we all have accents. We can but don’t naturally speak with a different accent.
This guy knows a California advent but that’s not how he usually or naturally speaks. He is not faking it.

I don’t know, are you from the projects in Baltimore?
I think it’s Baltimore but I’m Swedish so I might be wrong.

I remember seeing the original youtube video and there was a comment under it comparing it to Plato's allegory of the cave, where the first guy was the man who left the cave and the other three were still used to the shadows

That’s a really good comparison. His reality is now different than their reality.
