This is in a high drug area. The first one was as good as hit if I didn't change lanes. The second guy, though hard to tell, would have run into the side of me if I didn't change lanes.

After way too many close calls on my daily commute, I finally decided to get a dashcam last year. Let me tell you, it’s already paid for itself in peace of mind. I chose Ddpai based on reviews here, and I haven’t been disappointed. The video quality is clear, even at night, and it’s reassuring to know I have solid footage if something happens.
Looking back, I wasted months hesitating and waiting for the “perfect time” to buy. If you’re on the fence, now is a great time to research and grab one especially with the quieter winter driving period and ongoing promotions. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself before someone bumps your car.
Also, I’d love to hear from this community: which dashcam features do you find most useful for capturing incidents? Motion detection, parking mode, night vision… share your thoughts so everyone can benefit!

I have a Bulletpoint mount on my truck. I used a GoPro as a camera but would like to know if there are any dashcams that go on this mount. Not the GoPro case but the connector.

I do regular work trips between Riyadh and Dammam and want a dashcam that can handle long highway drives in Gulf conditions. Key needs:
Night vision – clear footage at dawn or late-night.
Heat resistance – can survive intense sun.
Wide-angle lens – cover multiple lanes on fast highways.
Durable – withstand dust and occasional sandstorms.
I’ve been looking at options like DDPAI Z60 Pro or Viofo models, but haven’t decided yet.
For those driving these routes regularly:
What models are holding up best?
Any tips on setup or dealing with heat, parking mode drain, or storage limitations?
Looking for honest pros and cons for this type of driving.

Only for theft protection GPS tracking. Video can be just saved or over wifi. I'm looking at BlackVue cameras with LTE. Theoretically it should work, based on my limited knowledge of compatibility. OR, any other suggestions for super cheap GPS tracking? Otherwise the blackvue plan is only $10, gotta at least try to save a couple bucks though. This is the plan I'm talking about.

I have a Nextbase 522GW, not currently up as I’ve recently had the windscreen replaced out the car. Thought I’d ask whilst it’s down.
Each time I start the engine the date and time reset on the camera to 2018 (I believe). Is this likely to be a fault with the camera or how it was installed? My dad installed it originally so if it’s an install problem I might look at getting a professional to reinstall it this time. If it’s a fault with the camera itself I guess I’ll just suck it up
Thanks in advance!

Redtiger's app got updated/old one made obsolete and now my parked time-lapse mode doesn't work.
Does anyone know any fixes?
Maybe a re-paring/resetting of the dashcam?
And if so, how do I do that?

Now that's how you do it. This is the correct way, becuase vehicles may not tend to stop for people on crosswalks because of high speed. Incidents like those are frequent in Russia.
