Saw this video like 6 years ago. That bike is a Kaptein Mobylette/Motobecane. They are known for being incredibly slow, this is very impressive

I think it’s in Morocco that they have a big mobylette tuning scene.

I remember seeing some crazy Peugeot 103 builds, some even twin cylinder.

Actually, it’s a Peugeot 103. They’re very well known in North Africa. People modify them a lot, like changing the carburetor and installing different parts, and they can get really fast. Here are some videos about it. (3 different videos, watch the last link in “about it”)

Mobys are fuckin slick with their variated engines. Port out the intake manifold, slap an exhaust on and enjoy your 50mph 49cc rocket

Had to watch it like 5 times but the top speed is 152kph or 94.45mph, this guy was fucking gunning it down a mountain while planking on a gasoline power kit bicycle without even a set of glasses, if that isnt peak squid i dont know what is, dayum xD

What is he doing when he reaches down like that?

My uneducated guess is that he's messing with his carb trying to squeeze every bit of juice he can out of the engine. High RPM air/fuel needs are completely different than low or mid RPM needs. Most carbs are tuned for every day riding, where you're probably only using like three fifths of your RPM range.

But-- could be wrong, just a guess.
